” Do not seek to follow in the footsteps of the sages. Seek what they sought. “

Matsuo Basho (1644-1694), Japanese poet

” I have always been curious about the idea of beauty and the role it plays in our lives. I thought it was another tool to understand reality. Over time, I have realized that art and science speak the same language, from intuitive feeling to mathematical rigor. My art is a constant dialogue between these two approaches.

Felicja Lamprecht graduated with honors in the field of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art with major in painting and polychrome sculpture at the Nicolaus Copernicus University faculty of Fine Arts in Toruń, Poland. Pursued her studies at the Paris-Sorbonne University, she was studying paintings of old masters by making copies in Louvre and Orsay Museum.

Also engaged in the creation of her own works of art, she makes copies of paintings as well as originals. Thanks to her work as a restorer, she has assimilated the techniques of the great masters and respect for classic proportions.

Her professional activity allows her to experiment with different styles and develop skills. It is a source of continuous enrichment for her own art.

Her style is characterized by work on colors and the search for harmony between them. She mainly works in oil paint. She finds her inspiration in nature, “mistress of beauty.

” I build a calm painting structure based on sacred geometry in order to free the colors and evoke a feeling in the viewer.  I have decided to work in short series. Each of them explores the same theme in different way : constructing harmony in the creative process, touching the essence of nature and the secrets of universe.”
